well, i was expecting something totally crap and ugly coming from you but shit, you took me by surprise.
seriously, your work is becoming weirdly mythological, that piece really took me somewhere and, i KNOW where you draw the fire/water rhetoric brother from, hehe.. and you do it full justice.
you know, i was thinking that your works have this strange dimension because of the time of the day (=light) they usually take place in, ie dusk (or when you reduce the light to make it look later), the gloaming, and in french that's "entre chien et loup", between dog and wolf..
yeah.
anyway.

I absolutely love this piece.
It reminds me of when I was about seven or eight and every Saturday my parents would drag me into town and we would walk through a square where a young lad would be trying to draw a crowd around him and I remember I always wanted to stop and watch and I would be dragged away and I always wondered what he would do. Then one Saturday as we passed he was performing and as I looked a long stream of fire came from his mouth. I was astonished, I wa so angry inside with my parents for never having stopped before, it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.
Your film took me back there.
